Work with us!
If you enjoy a challenge, want to experience your career in a new way and have the ability to be away from home for up to four months at a time, these positions may be of interest.  With 18 ships our cruises go all over the world, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific, Caribbean, South America, Mexico, Europe and many other exotic locales.

The Position
As an integral part of the medical team, paramedics on board join with physicians and nurses to offer medical attention to both passengers and crew.  Paramedics bring their significant first response skills to the cruise ship medical teams but also have an expanded job description that can include clinic work during the 2 outpatient clinics each day – intake, triage, procedures assistance.

Paramedics assist but are not limited to:
  • 911 Calls
  • Working in the clinic seeing crew and passengers
  • Lab work including blood draws (training is provided)
  • Medical Facility assistance with admitted patients
  • Public Health duties
5% of the work is responding to 911 calls with a typical number of ten calls per day and a need to respond to four with the others being information requests. The rest of the work is clinic work, admitted patient care assistance and public health work. On most ships, depending on size and number of passengers, there are two physicians, two to four nurses and two paramedics.  Most of our onboard paramedics find that the clinic work is extremely satisfying and different from what they are used to.  They enjoy the enhanced scope of duties with the ability to see and assist patients throughout their stay.
As part of the team you will be away for four months at a time responding to emergencies onboard as well as assisting in the medical facility onboard.  Your flights to and from the ship are provided, as is your own cabin (you do not share a cabin) and uniforms and of course food and a competitive salary. As an officer onboard you will have many benefits including being able to use most if not all of the passenger areas.

If you have at least 3 years of post-graduate work experience please submit your resume today!
