POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT II - Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Control and Training and Development
Primary Site: Stratford
Temporary Full-Time Assignment
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Corporate Lead, Training and Development the Administrative Support II, Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Control and Training and Development, is responsible for providing efficient administrative support for the associated functions and staff.
REPORTS TO: Corporate Lead, Training and Development
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $22.39 to $23.72 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- 2-3 year Community College Secretarial/Business program
- Additional advanced courses in word-processing, spreadsheet and graphic software packages
Experience:
- At least one year recent, related and progressive experience in a demanding, highly computerized, office environment
- Previous Meditech and/or Parklane experience an asset
- Previous experience with Learning Management System an asset
- Exposure to and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and/or Infection Control preferred.
Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills: proficient in Word processing, Spreadsheet, and Graphic software packages as well as ability to develop, fully utilize and maintain the Alliance’s elearning and Occupational Health (Parklane) databases.
- Ability to operate audiovisual equipment such as projectors, computers, teleconferencing and videoconferencing equipment, digital cameras and video cameras, lettering system, photocopier, etc.
- Ability to input large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
- Highly developed ability to organize and prioritize a constantly changing workload.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently with highly developed problem solving skills.
- Ability to make a solid commitment to maintaining a confidential environment.
- Ability to interact on a professional basis with a variety of internal and external contacts
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License with access to own vehicle. Travel is required throughout Huron-Perth
region with occasional travel to major centres
