POSITION: STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST
Materials Management
Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports and coordinates and conducts the business processes related to strategic sourcing, capital equipment procurement ongoing supplier contract maintenance programs, and overall process improvements. Supports and interacts with the Materials Management Support Staff, Buyers and internal customers to ensure all requirements are being met. Applies knowledge of supply chain management concepts, practices and procedures including strict adherence to the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive and Hospital policy. Relies on experience, knowledge, ingenuity and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs this function in a team environment which supports and enhances productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Materials Management


DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible


QUALIFICATIONS:
- Community College diploma in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred
- Certified in any of the equivalent accredited supply chain management programs listed below:
o Ontario Public Buyers Association (CPPB),
o Supply Chain Management Association (SCMP, CPP)
o Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council - NECI - Public Sector Procurement Program (PSPP)
- Successful completion of the SCMAO/HSCN Healthcare Supply Chain Certificate preferred
- Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between sites


EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years recent direct hospital buying and/or public sector contracting experience preferred
- Full understanding of the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act - Procurement Directive
- Full understanding of the applicable trade treaties, i.e. CFTA, CETA, Quebec Ontario Trade Agreement
- Project Management training preferred
- LEAN Process Improvement knowledge preferred


ABILITIES:
- Must be available to work flexible hours as required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in utilizing a computerized Inventory & Purchasing system
- Ability to utilize Meditech Materials Management module
- Time management and organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to interact well with all levels of management both inside and outside the organization
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal customers in order
- Ability to maintain an external network in this field of expertise
- Ability to manage projects effectively
