POSITION: Accreditation Coordinator
Primary Site: Stratford
Temporary Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accreditation Coordinator will work with the Director of Quality and Risk to adequately prepare for the HPHA’s Accreditation Onsite Survey. The Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of and provide corporate leadership and direction regarding planning, development, implementation and evaluation of HPHA’s Accreditation processes; and support the HPHA’s Accreditation Prototype Survey.
REPORTS TO: Director, Quality and Risk
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Diploma or Degree or equivalent on Healthcare related area
- Adult Education Certificate would be considered an asset
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years Healthcare related experience, in risk management, patient safety, education facilitation, ect.
- Experience in lead facilitator role utilizing high-end conceptual skills to quickly assess a situation and come to a clear plan
- Experience with research methodology and design data collection and analysis
- Knowledgeable of accreditation standards
- Ability to work within and lead as appropriate a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships
- Strong presentation and teaching skills in group facilitation
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, ect
Abilities:
- Good understanding of the Accreditation Process and related quality improvement organizations
- Good understanding of HPHA strategic objectives related to system wide quality improvements
- Excellent group facilitation skills to draw out insights from participants, engage them in a discussion, and enable them to reach agreements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain findings and recommendations from complex projects
- Strong collaboration skills to support and obtain system wide participation
- Highly developed change of management skills to identify support needed to achieve objectives
- Excellent adult education skills involving small and large multidisciplinary groups
- Experience in working with an inter-professional team
