ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director – Outpatient Rehabilitative Care, the Clinical Manager of Wound, Diabetes & Foot Care (the “Manager”) is responsible for leadership and oversight of care delivery in assigned outpatient areas and Diabetes Health. The Manager collaborates with the Director for program planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of relevant quality improvement and strategic initiatives that advance the strategic priorities consistent with the mission, vision and values of SJCG. Leading clinical team(s) of nurses and allied health staff, the Manager must be able to lead self, engage others, achieve results, develop coalitions and conduct systems transformation to support a caring environment and influence change to strategically position SJCG for future. The Manager uses an interprofessional, collaborative team approach inclusive of client and family partners to service planning, delivery, budgeting, managing fiscal and human resources, and achieving performance targets for quality client outcomes.
In concert with the Vice President, Outpatient Director and other SJCG Clinical Directors and Managers, the Manager plays a key role in building relationships with local, regional, and provincial health care partners to advance integration of health service delivery, ensuring access to and smooth transitions between levels of care, while optimizing the use of outpatient resources. The Manager facilitates an environment of collaboration and cooperation with leaders, physicians, staff, partners, and client and families demonstrating effective communication and engagement to ensure the delivery of safe, quality, client-centered care.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education/Experience:
- University degree in a regulated health care profession
- Registered health care professional in Ontario
- Minimum three years’ progressive leadership development and/or experience working in a managerial capacity in the health sector
- Experience in business management, planning, budgets and finance
- Experience in the various components of human resource management
- Knowledge of and experience in quality improvement and project management methodologies
- Knowledge of health care including provincial initiatives, policy, and applicable legislation and related regulations
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to deliver presentations to a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with members of the Leadership Team, colleagues, private and public officials, stakeholders, clients and families, and the general public
- Ability to identify, understand, and meet/exceed the requirements of internal and external customers
- Ability to think and act strategically in a public sector and health care environment, including the ability to conceptualize and implement change strategies
- Excellent project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven acumen in business and financial management, with the ability to improve effectiveness and efficiency through the management and utilization of human, financial, capital and physical resources
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire vision, engage, motivate, develop, and recognize staff; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Proven abilities to facilitate collaboration, cooperation and coalitions to build effective teams
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software applications i.e. Word, Excel, Project Manager
- Competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Assets:
- Master’s degree in a related management field an asset
Conditions of Employment:
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
- Will be required to travel out-of-town from time to time
