Position Summary

 This position’s primary responsibility is to support the NOSM SAC role with all of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine’s (NOSM) community-based programs, learners and stakeholders administrative functions as well as the Local Education Group (LEG) administrative duties as outlined in the MOU between the LEG and LWDH.

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources; this position fulfills day to day administrative functions and assists with reporting requirements of NOSM and the Local Education Group (LEG).

 

Qualifications

 Education:

  • A college Diploma in Administration/Business from a recognized post-secondary institute with Canadian accreditation or its equivalent in knowledge and experience

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Demonstrated ability to research effective resources an asset
  • Knowledge of local health care organizations
  • Medical terminology an asset
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • French language skills an asset
  • Knowledge of pertinent legislation including but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance record
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, written/oral communication
  • Class G Drivers License

 

Experience:

  • One (1) to two (2) years of progressively responsible administration experience.
