POSITION: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY/PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSISTANT
Primary Sites: Seaforth
Full-time
REPORTS TO: Manager, Therapies & Professional Practice
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $26.09 to $27.71 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of recognized Rehabilitation or OT/PT Assistant Program
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience working with inpatients and outpatients requiring rehabilitation and/or continuing care preferred.
ABILITIES:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to function in an interprofessional team model
Ability to determine priorities and manage time effectively
Critical thinking, problem solving, decision making skills
Computer, word processing skills
Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
Knowledge of anatomy, therapeutic modalities and exercise, disabling conditions, health
Sciences
Valid Ontario drivers’ license and ability to travel among sites, as required
